The fae that inhabit the Land of Myth have always vied with the orb weavers of the Slumbering Isles for naval supremacy on the Astral Sea. Both sides employ privateers to augment their armadas.

Captain Tertius Thornbush, a goblin privateer, and the goblinoid crew of the Queen Mab recently succumbed to a magical malady after raiding an orb weaver galleon. The dreamsillk they plundered was infected by stardew, an astral fungus which contaminated the ship's grog and sickened the crew. They are now starstruck — trapped in an unresponsive, agitated state where their worst nightmares become real.

Devoid of a functional crew, the Queen Mab has run aground in the material world and the dream logic radiating from the ship has begun to affect the local populace.

The Astral Ship is a short, 4-page fantasy adventure designed for Shadowdark as part of the Appendix N Game Jam. It is intended for a party of four 1st level characters.

In this adventure, the characters will:

• investigate a mysterious, otherworldly ship
• rescue goblin privateers
• defend their home town
• fight lots and lots and lots of giant spiders
