Forgotten Shrine 01

In a world where dead bodies can get up and walk around, people tend to take their funerary practices very seriously. In the Age of Empires, the Volk of the Eastlands carried their dead to remote shrines where mushroomfolk priests would safely return the bodies to the land.

In the current Age, most Volk just cremate their dead. No one has the time or resources to make the journey to those remote, woodland shrines — except, that is, for crawlers!

In this puzzle dungeon designed for Shadowdark, crawlers will explore a forgotten shrine that now houses families of ettercaps and goblins. To succeed, they'll need to manage the tension between the two factions, interact with the spirits of mushroomfolk priests that haunt the dungeon, and creatively use fungi to their advantage.

This is a pre-release version intended for playtesting. It does not reflect the final layout and has minimal art.
