The grand plan!

Hello spacefarers,

I’ve been working on Glorious, and it is growing bigger. Big enough that I’m going to have to break it back out from the core rulebook. If you’ve been generous enough to support This Mortal Coil during the public beta, you will get the digital version FOR FREE once it is complete.

Breaking the adventure out is good news, though, because it means that the core book itself is done, save for the remaining art. I’m going to focus on creating the spot art and I’ve conscripted Zach Hazard Vaupen into doing FIVE MORE dangerous creature designs. Right now we’ve got the wraith, and when we’re done we’ll have the geist, the ghoul, the honebito, and the smiling man. All suitably creepy and horrible creatures for your fledgling necromancer to encounter, fight, and or enthrall.

So here’s the plan:

  1. Finish the art for This Mortal Coil and get the finished digital version in your hands.
  2. Based on interest, order printed copies.
  3. Finish the writing, art, and layout for Glorious.
  4. Based on interest, order printed copies.
  5. Send all you wonderful early supporters codes to claim Glorious and discount codes for print versions of This Mortal Coil and Glorious.

Once those steps are complete, I’ll start work on some additional supporting adventures. Here’s a quick list of ideas. If you have preferences for one or another, please leave me feedback in the comments.

  • Invincible — the story of what happened to the other colony ship that disappeared.
  • The Black Gate — a grand campaign, inspired by Luke Gearing’s Wolves Upon the Coast. Take your crew to the graveyard moon, Makaburini, and investigate its mysteries.
  • The Stars Under the Mountain — there are stars buried beneath the sacred mountain on Jangwa. But they are not your stars.
  • The Hand That Feeds — a rogue branch of the Society of the Fruiting Body has been kidnapping living creatures to sacrifice to the great mycelium. The orthodoxy wants them to be stopped.
